"it looks like you're cosplaying."

shirt: vintage
shorts: h&m
belt: vintage
shoes: chloe

when i walked out of the bathroom (where our big closet is, weird, i know) i asked bryan what he thought of my ensemble, to which he replied, "i'm being completely honest - it looks like you're cosplaying." apparently this is reminiscent of zelda; i'm not really sure, since i never played video games as a kid (or really watched TV at all) but i'll take it as a compliment. after some googling, i've come to the conclusion that he's a pretty stylish guy. belted tunic, knee high (leather?) boots, crossover bag...dude should join chictopia.

(oop! shows how much i know - apparently i mean link, not zelda. what the heck is up with these names? thanks, emily!)

anyway, this is what i ended up wearing to the saves the day/get up kids show. this is the umpteenth time that i've seen saves the day, but the first time that i've seen the get up kids. it was an amazing show, and so neat to see a band live that you've been listening to for almost 10 years.

I know next to nothing about video games, but if this is the sort of thing Zelda wears, then I agree that he's Chictopia material.

You always look so cute in shorts! It makes me want to pull some of mine out, in spite of the fact that I feel weirdly self-conscious in them. (Why is that? Are they really so different from skirts?)

I would not have thought of Zelda when I saw that cute outfit if you hadn't mentioned the game. That top is fantastic.

I actually really like it with the shorts and all! Perhaps it's the collar that reminds him of Sailor moon? http://images.wikia.com/sailormoonenglishanime/images/b/b8/7-1.jpeg

Hahaha, well technically this is what Link wears from the Zelda games. I'm a HUGE video game nerd, especially for Zelda. And I can totally see how he got that. Although I don't think I would've thought of it until hearing someone mention it. It's a lovely ensemble, and a great shirt!! Every now and then I feel like I wear tunic-like outfits that remind me of Zelda.

Hehe, I always used to mix up link and Zelda. Link's so pretty, I always thought he was a girl! I love your top. Not seeing the Link connection, but there are worse video game characters to be compared to!
